Description:
As the sixth Project Manager in six years, executed a major project pivot to increase accountability and consistently save client money. Provide project, engineering, and construction management for an 11,000 square foot data center including offices and telecommunications hub in extreme remote, polar environment. Managed a cross-functional team of 10+ engineers, construction managers, quality managers, subcontract administrators, schedulers, and finance professionals. Completed four-month deployment onsite in Antarctica. Managed subcontractors and government contracts. Prepared project documentation and reports. Acted as Control Account Manager (CAM) utilizing earned value management. Obtained onsite and offsite clearance required to perform work.
Key Achievements:
Designed detailed quality reports outlining key findings from analysis and inspections leading to increased accountability for over eighty major quality deficiencies.
Identified issues and planned and executed significant turnaround regarding project quality documentation increasing amount submitted by contractor from 10% to 90% during time as Project Manager.
Analyze change request proposals resulting in potential cost savings for the NSF of over $1M.
Ensured completion of testing required by Project Specifications and prioritization of components of N+1 redundancy for the highly technical, mission critical project.
